Server – Food and Beverage Services

Position Overview: We seek an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Food and Beverage Services server. As a Server, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position is based in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting and seating guests: Welcome guests warmly and friendly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus.
  2. Taking orders: Efficiently take food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Serving food and beverages: Delivering orders promptly and accurately to guests’ tables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and presentation guidelines.
  4. Providing recommendations: Offer suggestions and describe menu items to guests, providing insight into ingredients, flavours, and preparation methods.
  5. Upselling and suggestive selling: Demonstrate product knowledge and promote additional food and beverage items to enhance guests’ dining experience.
  6. Addressing guest inquiries and concerns: Respond promptly and courteously to questions, requests, or concerns, ensuring their satisfaction.
  7. Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff: Communicate guest orders clearly to the kitchen and bar, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery.
  8. Assisting with table setup and cleaning: Prepare tables for new guests, maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, and assist with clearing tables when needed.
  9. Handling payments: Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and other accepted methods, and reconcile discrepancies.
  10. Adhering to health and safety regulations: Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures, ensuring the well-being of guests and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Server in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
  2. Excellent customer service skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  3. Knowledge of food and beverages: Familiarity with different types of cuisine, menus, and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations.
  4. Attention to detail: Ability to accurately record and process guest orders while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Team player: Works well in a collaborative team environment, assisting colleagues when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Flexibility and adaptability: Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Physical stamina: Capable of standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that require manual dexterity.
  8. Food safety knowledge: Understanding food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
