This role is focused on cultivating and growing relationships with clients by actively engaging in daily sales activities. It’s all about maintaining excellent customer service and making sure that customers are having the best experience possible.This job is part of the Strategic Account Management team and will report to the Canada Manager of Inside Sales. It involves some exciting challenges such as increasing Air Canada’s market share & revenue in its customer portfolio.

This role is available for both Toronto and Montreal.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:

  • As the main contact point for Air Canada Cargo, I will be responsible for liaising with Air Canada’s customer base.
  • I am willing to take the initiative to create a strong bond between Air Canada and its customers. My commitment is to ensure that each individual receives the highest level of customer service and satisfaction possible.
  • Aim to maximize revenue and competitive edge in the market by reaching and surpassing the set objectives.
  • Keeping a constant connection with Air Canada customers should be a priority on a daily basis. This helps ensure that their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • It is essential to attend sales visits and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) as and when required.
  • Responding to one-off quote requests and working with the Operations & Customer Service teams to confirm bookings is an important task that I’m capable of taking on.
  • Develop and manage a successful sales plan by setting daily/weekly/monthly goals, prioritizing tasks, maximizing your time productivity, and utilizing all resources at your disposal.
  • As a part of the research, it is imperative to develop existing accounts. This includes adding contacts, sending emails as well as making strategic calls in order to meet the monthly goals. You will also be working with Sales Development, Operations, Revenue and Capacity Management teams.
  • Develop regional and local tactics to serve customers and collaborate with Strategic Account Managers to meet cargo sales objectives. 
  • Provide commercial, analytical, and customer-base knowledge support to the Strategic Account Managers and Sales Leadership team. 
  • Offer assistance to Strategic Account Managers and Sales Leadership concerning tactical inquiries on pricing structures & capacity daily. 
  • Be a part of creating and maintaining a successful & determined sales team by actively participating in its continual growth. 
  • Coordinating with the other departments within the organization to make sure that all goals, from departmental to corporate, are in complete harmony. 
  • Support the realization of all sales & marketing initiatives tied to local expansion. 
  • Keep an organized and comprehensive record of all customer inquiries, inquiries and commercial requests.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the cargo industry and previous experience in commercial sales.
  • I have a strong background in sales, having consistently achieved and often exceeded my assigned sales goals & quotas.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communicative, presentation & negotiation abilities.
  • Possess the capability to lead and take decisive actions.
  • Outstanding ability to plan and arrange tasks in a systematic manner.
  • Crafting strong relationships with both internal and external customers is an asset which can be greatly beneficial to a business. It’s important to be able to build meaningful relationships in order to ensure success.
  • Being able to analyze data and industry information with great acumen is a highly desired skill in the professional world today.
